The VIVACE Experience

VIVACE builds on and develops the expertise and experience of the multi-award winning ALLEGRO project.  Taking the body of experience from ALLEGRO as its starting point, VIVACE seeks also to go further.  By working with some partners from ALLEGRO and by reaching out to new partners operating in different cultures and contexts, VIVACE has:

  • Refined and developed core concepts of social disadvantage and exclusion to guide identification of target groups;
  • Gathered extensive evidence from social care providers of the value of a VIVACE language learning intervention for their clients;
  • Built up a wide body of experience for tutors and trainers to draw upon for classroom delivery purposes;
  • Validated a VIVACE model of language learning experience for disadvantaged groups;
  • Brought together the combined ALLEGRO and VIVACE experience for the benefit of all parties interested in exploring the value of a language learning experience in the context of disadvantage, however that may be defined.
